Today, the Income Property Association of Kern published a fact sheet and infographic titled “What California Landlords Need To Know About Homelessness”. These free resources for landlords will help them to better understand what they can do in the face of this crisis.

The fact sheet utilizes the latest available research and data to make the case that while California is making progress on homelessness, more can be done. “Ultimately, homelessness is a housing supply problem that can only be solved by building more housing, but there actions landlords can take right now to help keep us moving in the right direction,” says Ian Sharples, Public Affairs Director for IPAK.

These themes will be further explored at the 2019 California Landlord’s Summit On Homelessness on June 20 in Bakersfield. Last year’s summit was attended by over 300 rental housing professionals who learned about programs available to assist in housing the homeless population.
